About Long Term PowerRatings
Long Term PowerRatings is a quantitative rating method which ranks stocks on both safety and the potential for price appreciation. Stocks with high PowerRatings (8-10) have historically outperformed the stock market over the next 12 months. Stocks with low PowerRatings (1-3) have historically tended to under-perform the market. PowerRatings were created by Larry Connors and Cesar Alvarez. Mr. Connors is CEO and founder of The Connors Group, a financial markets information company. Mr. Alvarez is Director of Research for Connors Research, a private research firm. In the 1990's, Mr. Alvarez was a Senior Engineer for Microsoft, where he helped build Excel. Mr. Connors' and Mr. Alvarez's research is used by money managers, investors and traders throughout the world.
